My background & Experience: I have over 18 years of experience in working with Children and Young People, whilst setting up a Supported Accommodation Service, Emergency and Temporary Accommodation Service for Homeless People & Families and now onto our new venture in launching our first Residential Children’s Home. My passion is to help others and bring them onto the journey with me, whilst maximising their full potential! I am a qualified Social Worker with a Practice Educator’s qualification and my desire is to also support, teach and assess student Social Workers whilst on placement. I have developed my skills in Leadership & Management over the years and I believe anyone can strive to whatever success they want to, if they believe in themselves and take a risk! I have an extensive background in quality assurance, implementing processes, systems, policies and maintaining health & safety in the work place for employees and clients. I am IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) qualified and I have experience in implementing and maintaining several ISOs (International Organization for Standardisation) standards in businesses such as:- ISO 45001 (Standard for management systems of occupational health and safety)- ISO 14001 (Environmental management system)- ISO 9001 (Quality management system)In addition to this I have experience in implementing and maintaining CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme), as compliance and risk management within organisations is paramount and is an area I take seriously.
