During my studies I worked part time as a coach at Flair Gymnastics. Having 4 years of experience as a gymnastics coach prior to Flair I was quickly delegated the role of assistant club leader for the Guildford Spectrum club. Due to this club being split into Trampolining and Gymnastics classes I was selected as Club Leader of the Gymnastics Sector. Responsibilities included:• Management and organisation of the gymnastics sector of the club.• Leading a team of coaches and assistants in the running of classes of various ages and abilities.• Communicating effectively with parents to ensure expectations of the club were achieved.

I am currently partaking in the East West Rail Phase 2 (EWR2) Apprentice Scheme as part of the Engineering Integration Management (EIM) team. EWR2 is an Alliance based project in which Atkins are heavily involved in.Responsibilities include: • Quality Management– contribution to the development and updating of Engineering Management Processes.• Meetings – Assisting the EIM team with co-ordinating interdisciplinary design reviews and other discipline meetings.• Documentation/organisation- producing and circulating minutes/actions/agendas to the team and chasing inputs/updates from the discipline leads. I have also been greatly involved with the projects online system BIM Collab in which actions (Project- wide) are recorded and updated.

I have worked within the Engineering Assurance Team for the EWR2 Alliance applying the project’s Engineering Safety Management (ESM) process, in compliance with CSM RA and UK legislations.Responsibilities included:• Identifying required Hazard Review Sessions based on assessment of the Hazard Record, coordinating team availability and scheduling meetings. • Leading Hazard Review Meetings whilst collaborating with engineers to record safety mitigations and define safety requirements.• Comparing Hazard Record entries against the requirements of legislation and liaison with designers to determine update actions. I have also taken part in several Atkins based safety training days which has enhanced my knowledge of ESM and how to apply it to a system.

Since the age of 11 I trained competed professionally in artistic gymnastics at Sapphire School of Gymnastics. Once at the age to coach (14 years old) I began to teach gymnastics to younger children part time.Responsibilities included:• Coaching elite, squad-level gymnastics to children and teens (ages 4-17) of different abilities.• Assisting in the organisation and management of; Club, County, and National Level Invitational competitions.• Coaching recreational level gymnastics from pre school ages to teens of different abilities and genders.
