Danielle joined Charles Taylor in February 2017, bringing 20 years of experience working as outside counsel for insurance clients, most recently as a partner with the Zelle, LLP law firm. Based in New York, Danielle works directly with the CEO, and is a member of the US senior executive leadership team and Board of Directors. Danielle is focused on building CT’s independent adjusting and technical services businesses in the U.S. She leads commercial operations by driving new business growth and strategy, managing client relationships, customer experience, and marketing. As part of the management team, Danielle recruits best in class talent to our teams, and actively participates in assessing M&A opportunities. As General Counsel, Danielle handles legal matters, including preparing and negotiating contracts. She also oversees licensing and certain aspects of our on-boarding and integration processes.

In April 2015, Danielle joined Zelle, LLP, an international boutique litigation law firm, as part of a team-lift, opening the firm’s NYC office. Danielle is experienced handling a wide variety of commercial property & casualty and transportation (inland marine, ocean marine, aviation) claims. She regularly prepares coverage opinions and defends matters involving first-party property, admiralty/maritime, cargo, trucking, and liability policies, including warehousemen’s liability policies. Danielle has received the designation of Proctor in Admiralty from the Maritime Law Association of the United States (MLA), and has significant experience handling transportation-related matters including cargo losses, hull losses and major casualties, involving collisions, allisions, and weather-related losses. She routinely evaluates matters involving the various international, federal and state laws and regulations relevant to ocean and inland marine claims, including COGSA and Carmack. Prior to joining Zelle, her experience included serving as national coordinating counsel for FedEx. Danielle has also recovered millions of dollars in subrogation actions involving large loss property, energy, inland marine and ocean marine claims. She has experience handling complex subrogation matters, including losses caused by fires, explosions, structural collapses, boiler, machinery and equipment failures, product failures, gas and water leaks. Danielle has also successfully defended commercial general liability claims. Danielle is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, and before the United States Supreme Court. She has successfully litigated cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States. She has also arbitrated, mediated, negotiated, and tried numerous complex and high profile disputes.
