Danielle Park is a CS & Policy @ Duke | Prev @ Deloitte. Colleagues describe her as "Danielle is an accomplished author, educator, researcher, leader, and cyber security/computer science practitioner. She has earned the title of “Computer Science Warrior”, and she personifies this in the most spectacular ways. She is a highly intelligent, passionate, compassionate, and deeply insightful young woman who has overcome all the obstacles of a male-dominated profession, becoming a shining example and beacon of light for girls around the world. I have the honor and privilege of working closely with Danielle as her mentor at New York University and she never ceases to amaze me by her deep understanding and analysis of complex computer science and cryptographic problems. Her passion for cybersecurity and her never ending quest to expand her knowledge and understanding is truly palpable. Starting as her NYU GSTEM mentor last summer, where she presented a cryptographically secure electronic voting system based on numerous cryptographic schemes and cyber security technologies, continuing with the recent journal publication of our current research on a cloud-based secure electronic voting infrastructure. I have been blessed to be able to work with her and witness firsthand the amazing level of comprehension and algorithmic thought processes she possesses. She has been the inspiration and motivation for so many young women to pursue a career in computer science and cybersecurity, overcoming societal roadblocks and gender-based discrimination to show why the world needs many more women computer scientists and cyber security engineers. Even at a young age, Danielle has accomplished what many people don’t accomplish in a lifetime. She is truly an inspiration for women."
