I am the creative force behind Koos Design, LLC, located in Arlington, VA. I am a visionary interior designer who thrives on transforming spaces. My portfolio encompasses a diverse array of projects, ranging from intimate residential retreats to charming commercial hospitality ventures throughout the local community and the broader region.My journey as a designer has been a rich tapestry of experiences over the past decade. From being a diligent student and an eager intern to assuming the roles of a junior designer and a head project manager, my path has also taken me on adventures as a traveler and a dreamer. These collective experiences have come together to shape my identity as the passionate owner and the creative soul behind Koos Design. My lifelong passion for design and sales began with early memories of my grandfather's study, where the iconic Eames lounge chair held a special place. Those early steps taken around a Noguchi coffee table left an indelible mark on my aesthetic sensibilities. Surprisingly, my true calling as an interior designer revealed itself in a most unexpected manner.Sitting in an accounting class one day, my mind began to wander to a computer game called The SIM's. This game, centered around building and managing families and communities, became a platform for my creative aspirations. However, my interest diverged from the standard gameplay. I became captivated by property layouts, meticulously sketching floor plans on graph paper and crafting homes down to the very last fixture, finish, and piece of furniture.As the years passed, it became increasingly clear that my heart was set on design, on helping people bring their dream spaces to life, and on providing them with the resources to do so. Since the inception of Koos Design in 2018, I've never looked back. No other job or career has ever felt as right, as thrilling, and as fulfilling as this design journey I'm on.
