As an Urban Designer at LRK, Danielle works on local and national projects ranging in scale from transit-oriented, multifamily, and mixed-use developments to civic design, mixed-income community planning, and the public realm.

Danielle serves as a Lecturer in the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design's Masters of City and Regional Planning Program. Danielle's recent courses have been focused on reconnecting communities, reimagining highway infrastructure, and designing resilient waterfront districts in Philadelphia and Washington, DC through both the second year Urban Design Capstone Studio and second year interdisciplinary Planning Studios.

Danielle Lake worked with Hartman-Cox Architects for over 6 years. While at Hartman-Cox, her work primarily focused on the historic preservation of several significant Washington, DC buildings as well as the new construction and master-planning of other cultural, commercial, and higher education projects around the country and in China. Notable projects include the Church Street UMC Master Plan and Addition, the National Gallery of Art East Building Expansion and Renovation, and a new federal courthouse in Mobile, Alabama.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

A 10.5 month service term with a non-profit. Trained and proficient in construction tasks: layout from architectural plans, framing, roofing, window and door installation, insulation, drywall, painting, landscaping, and finish work. Responsibilities include: instruction and supervision of volunteer groups through construction tasks, collaboration with site supervisors to manage and plan daily projects, time management. Designed and implemented a Community Service Project that installs and maintains community gardens for Habitat homeowners. Additional training: CPR, National Service Leadership Conference, Habitat for Humanity Build-a-Thon in Bay-Waveland, Mississippi.
