The Teen's P.L.A.C.E. is a middle school class for children with autism located at Lakeside Middle School.This program offers course offerings for Self-Contained Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science with a modified approved curriculum and mainstreaming options as appropriate. - Small group/1:1 instruction in functional, adaptive and academic skills.- Implementation/training of student Behavior Intervention Plans.- Collection and management of student data related to behavior and curriculum-based learning.- Ongoing collaboration with members of the student support team.- Participation in Community Based Instruction trips. (CBI) is integrated into the program, providing a greater exposure to the community where they can use the essential skills they have developed within the program.
