Photographing fire and accident scenes on a contract basis. Assisted the fire investigators with their investigations by taking photographs of the fire aftermath in often very challenging climates with difficult lighting situations.

As the editorial video department grew and photographers shot more video, I was put in charge of managing and training shooting and editing video. I was also a photographer shooting and editing video stories while taking still photos for the newspaper. I helped with writing, editing and posting our daily news cast online, Quickcast. I worked with other video journalists to produce longer term flash projects and stories. Video shooting and editing training in the newsroom is also one of my responsibilities, as well as producing and shooting live feeds on Mogulus.

Hired as the company's first videographer, I shot and edited daily videos and juggled longer term projects. I enterprised ideas for visual stories as well as worked with print reporters to create videos that accompany their stories. Mainly documentary style with plenty of natural sound.
