It was once said that “research is formalized curiosity, it is poking and prying with a purpose.” As a creative digital and brand marketing leader who builds strategies from smart consumer insights, this comment resonates with me. Like all good strategies, it is necessary to thoroughly scan the environment for information, convert data into actionable insights, and build breakthrough solutions. In my world, I collect data through the client, stakeholder, and competitive research and marry that with knowledge of human behavior and customer journeys to build relevant and thriving brands.I am passionate about Design Thinking methodology, learning new tools, integrating new ideas into my work and mastering my craft. Monitoring marketing trends and technologies is a critical part of my day because it feeds my desire to learn and gives my clients an edge in the marketplace. There is no learning, however, like hands-on experience. I enjoy taking on complex projects and brand challenges that force me to push beyond my limits and deliver thoughtful products to some of the world’s leading brands. None of this is possible without the support of a talented team. My greatest reward is leading teams to develop and deliver strong visual design and intuitive customer experiences. Guiding, mentoring, and coaching my team members through large projects and celebrating as a group is, in the end, what matters most.
