Well known on Capitol Hill and within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, I leverage more than a decade of experience in the public and private sectors to help Invariant’s clients navigate the policy and politics of agriculture, including the 2023 Farm Bill and the appropriations process. Previously, I oversaw a broad portfolio of legislative and regulatory issues focused on bolstering the economic viability of family-owned beef cattle operations on behalf of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). At NCBA, I engaged policymakers across Capitol Hill, the Department of Agriculture, and private industry partners on all policy issues pertaining to tax, alternative proteins, product labeling, trade, and cattle market policies. Before that, I was a lobbyist for the Russell Group and spent nearly five years on Capitol Hill working for former Rep. Thomas J. Rooney (R-FL), managing his work on the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee and Agriculture Livestock Subcommittee.
