About Danielle Mcnichol
LinkedIn suggests that I describe my professional career and future aspirations in a few short paragraphs - emphasis on short -how does a lawyer do this? Not sure how this will go but I'll give it a shot. In a nut-shell, my professional career began with litigation and employment law as my focus, moving into areas of client/personal experience with large for-profit and not for profit clients. As my personal and professional life changed, my work experience grew to include government and quasi-government in house positions at the Executive Suite level- focusing on Management, Corporate Law, Governance, Risk Management, Contracting and Licensing. I serve as General Counsel/In House counsel to clients of varied industries - large not for profits to government; education to technology; communications and health care institutions. What has each experience provided? A challenge -the ability to work with a team to solve problems; create opportunities; and the chance to make a difference. Fundamentally my role on the team is to protect a business, mitigate damage often with potential financial risk, and actively find a solution. Regardless of industry, I have found these factors to be the common denominators that have made each experience rewarding and successful. As I have grown as a professional and leader, I gravitate to companies with passionate teams, great leadership and community-based corporate mission for business (and personal) success. Having developed leadership training programs, community resources programming and volunteer opportunities, I understand the return on investment for companies that successfully incorporate each into their day-to-day approach.
Listed skills include Policy, Employment Law, Government, Litigation, and 24 others.
