I worked as part of a team of HR Officers supporting Toys R Us 90+ stores, Distribution Centre and Head Office (approx 4500 employees) with all HR issues. I lead and developed the team of HR administrators who dealt with high volume tasks such as starters, leavers, contract changes and references. I supported management teams with advice on with disciplinary, appeal and grievance meetings, end to end appeal, grievance, Long term sickness and absence management, and Tribunal management, change management, performance management, training and development, recruitment, team management, maternity, paternity and flexible working management, audits, absence management, HR system specialist.

With strong account and relationship management for circa 40 clients I was responsible for supporting and developing these relationships with their key stakeholders to deliver implementation and effective training on Chris21 HRIS. I liaised with customer’s as project management throughout the implementation lifecycle to ensure a effective and efficient approach to customer site development. I advised on best practice and provided a consultancy service while also identifying business opportunities through training needs analysis as well as assisting in sales demonstrations as a Chris21 specialist. Working closely with helpdesk I resolved issues as an 3rd line support. I also worked with the help desk to communicate faults and problems with the chris21 database, finding solutions for customers both ad hoc and through the release programmes. I easily adapted to changes during periods of system development and supported the development of manuals and training tools. I also supported the development of other consultants through my own knowledge and training across Chris21, payroll, accounts and HR.

As a line manager I supported and developed a multi discipline team consisting of Accounts, Customer Services, Warehousing, Purchasing and HR. I balanced operational needs with people matters.
