I began in the beauty industry out of high school. I did not know much about it or what to expect but I quickly fell in love with the social and creative aspects. As I embarked into my first experience working in a salon I was quickly inspired and grew deeply committed to growing my skills. This set me on a path that brought me to the world of education which only furthered my passion. As a young stylist, you are expected to have foundational skills which quite frankly, are not taught in school. Although frustrating, I saw this as a challenge to pursue every opportunity to leverage my strength and practice where I knew I had room to grow. As I continued for years taking dozens of classes every year, eventually I hit a plateau behind the chair. One day I found an opportunity to become an educator. I honestly had no idea what that meant but I am a believer that if an opportunity presents itself, you should at least explore what it is. This opened a whole new world for me and led me into my life-long career in the business of beauty. As I embarked on this new experience I was afforded the opportunity to travel around the world and country. In doing so, I was able to work with global hairstylists and award winning stylists across North America to elevate stylists through education. As my journey continued it naturally evolved into business and this was the next evolution of what this amazing industry has to offer. From working in a Forbes 5-Star Salon & Spa, to working one-on-one with salon owners to strategically grow their business allowed me to use all my experience and passion to reach their goals. This industry and career have been a blessing I never knew was possible and one I am grateful for every day.
