CurrentRepresents City in court proceedings and at all city council meetings, drafts and reviews all municipal contracts, drafts proposed legislation and testifies on such legislation before state legislature, represents housing authority and regional waste coalition, engages with citizens and developers regarding city projects and contracts, advises Mayor, City Council, City Administrator and senior staff on all city legal matters; drafts all city ordinances and resolutions, performs research and prepares memos to City Administrator and elected officials on all requested areas of interest, handles public records requests and delegates tasks to necessary staff accordingly, engages with other municipal departments to measure progress and ensure completion of all projects, management of eminent domain and large annexation projects, advises human resources on sensitive personnel issues (including FMLA, Workers Compensation, FLSA, etc.), leads negotiations and purchase agreement drafting for large real estate projects (Kensington sale and redevelopment), performs ongoing crisis management and communication strategies, meets with Governor and other state level cabinet members to discuss municipal issues, and many other duties as assigned.
