I did plenty of of science, but my real value add during this time was organizing information and streamlining processes to allow R&D to function more efficiently. These are a few of the things I implemented: - Templatizing information transfer between different research groups in the pipeline - Implementing Project Management fundamentals in R&D, & coordinated the team to develop a PM system across the whole organization- Parenting with the data team to ensure we built the right data collection system- Managing & driving IP & patent fillings and saving the organization a significant amount of money in fees with outside council

I set up the lab and was responsible for keeping it running. I designed the laboratory lay out and coordinated the lab build out with the relevant contractors. Researched,ordered and installed all major laboratory equipment (capital equipment like Biosaftey cabinets, autoclave etc..). Covered ordering and inventory management for consumables and other raw materials. I am also responsible for safety, compliance, and vendor contract negotiations.I also organized and managed the move to the second facility. Designed and executed the renovation of our the facility which was a $1M+ project covering both lab and office space.

For my thesis, I documented immunogenetic profiles of bottlenecked populations of Rainwtare killifish. The Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class II exon 2 was used to assess functional supertypes across several population. This was carried out by inferring binding properties of alleles using physiochemical properties of codons under positive selection. I also described diversity at the mitochondrial control region and microsatellites.

• Described how Pacific Herring egg deposition and development is impacted by the invasive fouling tunicate Didemnum vexillum • Created methods to assaying egg development on control and experimental tunicate substrates, as well as substrate egg deposition preference experiments for adults in laboratory settings and during natural spawning events in the field• Found tunicate has the propensity to rapidly overgrow, smother and subsequently kill eggs

I measured and photographed phenotype characteristics of preserved 3 spine stickleback for the Kingsley Lab. The measurements were then used in QTL mapping to find where traits mapped to in the stickleback genome.

Conducted market research for housing and new housing developments. Supported new business developments by increasing participation in The Ryness Report, an industry leading statistical report that covers the main new home housing markets in the western United States.
