The Journey of Hope program assists Central American children in placing them back with their families and provides a variety of services including case management and trauma informed care. As the Program Assistant, I oversee the Master File and make sure it is up to date. I coordinate day-to-day between the other programs within Holy Family Institute including Finance, Human Resources, and Quality Assurance. In my role, I also make certain our program is up-to-date with any policies, rules and regulations that are relevant to our program from the federal and state level. I play an essential role in ensuring the program is ready for all inspections and audits. I assist any team members with needs including questions about roles and responsibilities, regulations, and pertinent information of the children. I write quarterly and annual reports, send out daily reports to the necessary individuals, do all state reporting, assist in the schedules and hiring of Youth Care Workers, and work with different vendors. I also am in charge of ordering and maintaining all supplies for the houses and offices. I work closely with the Program Director and Program Administrator as well as assist Case Managers, Clinicians, Shift Supervisors and Youth Care Workers with any needs they may have.

Through Frontline Families under Points of Light, I train military families to be volunteer leaders and become more assimilated into their communities. I write grants and plan volunteer projects. Coordinate between nonprofit organizations throughout the city to create, facilitate, and manage projects that consist of upwards of 100 volunteers. I also help with day to day business in the Pittsburgh Cares office which I am based out of.

Responsibilities included stock and inventory of the store, running the register, and maintenance of displays.

Acted as liaison between the groups and camps that are on campus during the summer and the college.
