When my son was born in March of 2020, I realized I couldn't find any science-themed toys that were age appropriate and would benefit his development in his first year. Candidate for PhD in Neuroscience at MIT's Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department, under the advisement of Dr. Ed Boyden. Projects include imaging neural activity, analyzing behavior, and testing molecular tools, all in the C. elegans model organism. Teaching experience in introductory neuroscience (MIT undergraduate course 9.01). Extracurricular work includes departmental and institutional student government, including work in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Full-time position processing and analyzing PET data acquired with novel radiotracers for beta-amyloid and tau protein. Recruited subjects and administered cognitive tests, used MATLAB and FreeSurfer for 3D image data processing and quality assessment, analyzed ROI-based PET and MRI data in three independent research projects.

Spent over 25 hrs/week preparing a short-term independent investigation of the role of huntingtin protein aggregation in the classical NF-kB inflammatory pathway under the supervision of Dr. Nelly Cruz and Dr. Jeroen Saeij.
