During my tenure within the non-profit sector I worked with an array of non-profits from large hospitals to national environmental groups to small domestic violence shelters. Successfully, I grew the mission in each organization through my fundraising efforts. I seemed to find positions where I would create a foundation and build from there. It enabled me to be creative and experimental. As an event director I was able to restructure a nine year old fledgling event into a success increasing revenue by 54%.After years in nonprofit I turned my attention to the outdoor industry. Connecting individuals to the outdoors has always been a passion. Through my time in outdoor retail (from cashier to department manager) I was able to increase sales by 25%. Expanding my customer service skills by working with individuals ensuring they are prepared for their time outside. These many connections have been, by far, the best part of my job. I have continued to support non-profits through serving on Board of Directors. As Development Committee Chair on both MassRecycle’s and American Hiking Society’s Board of Director’s, my previous experience as a development professional helped guide both organizations onto a more sustainable path. As former Chairwomen of Women’s Wilderness I was excited to bring my leadership to an organization that supports women and girls experiences in the outdoors.In recent years I've turned my attention towards outdoor education. Teaching individuals all different aspects of the outdoors. As a Wilderness Guide I have the pleasure of sharing my love of wild places with others.
