GETT is a fun, interactive and informative daylong career education event for girls in grades 6 through 12 from the public and private schools of the Delaware Valley. At this event, these girls are exposed to many different STEM careers: Science, Technology Engineering and Math. It is our hope that upon the conclusion of this event that these girls have been encouraged and further educated on how to pursue a STEM career.GETT, a program of the Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG) of Southeastern, PA was founded in 2000, to help align public, private and educational sectors to help unify the IT/Communications industry under the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) and their foundation, the Chester County Economic Development Foundation. A main focus of ITAG is workforce development through youth and incumbent worker training initiatives.As GETT Chair I am responsible for the overall management, planning, budgeting, fund-raising and execution of the annual GETT event. This event would not be possible without its sub-committee members, numerous volunteers and corporate support that it receives every year.
