I've found a deep-seeded passion for building operations that stems from a strong love for being inside.Yes, I live in Colorado and it's beautiful and I enjoy a good hike as much as any Coloradan, but there's a special place in my heart for climate-controlled comfort.I'm growing this budding passion for facilities operations by developing my career around intelligent building technology and the people behind it. BUT I don't want to be limited to marketing.Do I know all the details of building engineering? No, but I learn fast AND I can elevate the voices of those who do know.As the Marketing Manager at KTERIO, I combine my passion for storytelling and my expertise in smart building technologies to create and execute effective marketing strategies for the proptech industry. I work with a diverse and talented team of engineers, designers, and content creators to deliver engaging and informative campaigns that showcase the value and benefits of smart building solutions for various stakeholders.I also host the "What Duct Tape Can't Fix" podcast, where I share my insights and stories about the challenges and opportunities of making buildings smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. Through this platform, I aim to reveal to the public the hidden world of building operations and management, and to inspire and empower other proptech companies to reach their potential and grow their market share. My podcast is still in early stages but has already received multiple positive reviews and feedback from the industry and the audience. My journey as a marketer and a smart building nerd started with my education in biochemistry and psychology at the University of Northern Colorado, where I developed strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as a curiosity and appreciation for the complex and dynamic systems that make life interesting. I overcame many personal and professional challenges as a single mother and a self-taught marketer, and I learned how to leverage data, storytelling, and emotions to craft compelling and persuasive messages that resonate with different audiences and contexts. I am always eager to learn new skills, explore new ideas, and take on new challenges that help me grow as a marketer and as a person.
