Scaled product organization over multiple phases of team expansion and growth, leading hiring and recruiting for both product manager and designer roles. Restructured the product organization into 4 (then 9) primary product workstreams, working with lead PMs and business stakeholders to develop product strategy for the New Visions Portal within and across verticals. Led the product organization through multiple phases of rapid product expansion, going from 150 high schools initially to all 1,500+ NYC schools K-12.

Managed two cross-functional product development teams, including software engineers, product managers, user researchers, and designers. Managed the initial launch of the New Visions Data Portal in August 2017 to over 150 New York City public high schools. Designed mockups and feature requirements and coordinated sprint‐by‐sprint engineering priorities to ensure on‐time delivery of core features.

Spearheaded organizational pivot towards smarter practices and technologies to create more sophisticated and scalable applications and tools for schools. Recruited and collaborated with software architect consultants to build foundational elements of the company's first full stack web application, the New Visions Data Portal. Developed and maintained a secure REST API in Node JS with backends in both MongoDb and Postgres. Developed and maintained a frontend AngularJS application.

Worked with school leaders to develop cloud-based tools for streamlining data management and information sharing across key school operations. Developed and maintained New Visions’ suite of Google Add-Ons for automating school workflow (cloudlab.newvisions.org). Engaged in iterative cycles of user research, design, prototyping, and testing.

Deepened the adoption of a third-party school management web platform provided by New Visions to its network of 80 New York City public high schools. Led weekly meetings with the third-party product team to highlight high priority user needs and advocate on behalf of our school users. Delivered over 200 trainings (full group, on-site, online, etc.) to over 1000 educators.

Provided extensive research support to help guide decision-making and innovation across the organization’s diverse programmatic initiatives. Executed best practice and comparative analyses in the areas of teacher training, student and school assessment, school management, and blended learning, among others.

Coordinated a seven-week research initiative to explore issues affecting Hindu-Pakistani refugee communities living in Jodhpur, India. Engaged community members in developing indicators to assess the quality of the livelihood opportunities, education and health care service available to them. Administered a total of 192 household surveys and conducted 15 semi-structured interviews. Collected information from government agencies regarding Indian refugee law and researched government schemes available to refugees. Produced a 35 page final report to guide future PVS and state action.

Supported Mercy Corps' Global Engagement Division in the international expansion of Global Citizen Corps (GCC), a program that trains youth in organizing effective social action campaigns to impact critical global issues. Developed a daily office news briefing system for GCC staff, monitored GCC's online peer networking forum, updated leader training materials, and spearheaded a project to streamline GCC education campaigns with Global Campaign for Education/Education for All advocacy initiatives.

Assisted an innovated energy and social media software company on cross-browser auditing and testing of new feature releases, including carbon calculator and reduction center, virtual island, message center, and community network. Supported executive staff in a broad array of matters. Coordinated consumer market research to determine user opinions on site performance and friendliness, design, layout and functionality.

Designed the framework and operational protocols of the FORGE Education Fund, a program designed to increase refugee access to primary and secondary education in the Meheba Refugee Settlement, Zambia. Oversaw domestic fundraising strategy, coordinated media outreach, and developed website content. Raised $4,500 to establish the Meheba Creative Arts Center, the first educational arts center for pre-school youth in Meheba. Managed a paid staff of six local refugees.

Trained fifty American and Southeast Asian students in community empowerment and development techniques. Taught lessons on NGO development and organizational growth, activism and culture, issue analysis, leadership skills, and coordinated social action and project planning. Explored issues affecting undocumented worked in northern Thailand, including poverty, disease, and armed conflict.
