About Daniëlle Van Kol

I am amazed by the adaptability of our bodies and minds. As a physiotherapist I value being caring, compassionate, truly listening to and collaborating with people while working towards meaningful goals, even when (chronic) pain is present. Within my role I see myself as an educator, motivator and advocate who works within a biopsychosocial framework and tailors her approach to the individual. I aspire to create a warm and safe environment for everyone to share their story.I value a multidisciplinary collaborative approach, which was substantiated during the Master of Science in Medicine (Pain Management) at the University of Sydney from which I graduated in 2021. I believe that sharing of knowledge, debate, and considering all points of view delivers the best possible unified care approach for each patient. Professional Skills: I have over 10 years’ experience across private practice, aged care and non-profit settings in both the Netherlands and Australia. Working in different countries and across cultures has provided me with strong interpersonal skills. I value the importance of including my patients in decision making, empowering them through education about optimal management and encouraging them to develop self-management strategies. I can work well independently, but also love working in a team. I have recently started growing my skills in applying insights from Acceptance and Commitment therapy into my work and am expanding my knowledge about Women’s Health. Outside of work I am an avid soccer player, cyclist and runner. I am eager to learn and get excited about opportunities to challenge myself professionally.
