As the slogan” Seeing hundreds of life stories in front of the windows” goes, “Windows of Formosa Film Festival” was established with the aim to connect international and Taiwanese movies. This is the first time that the festival returns to Taiwan. In order to boost the exchanges between other international film festivals and Taiwanese movies, Director Mark, the founder of the film festival, invites 11 professionals in the film industry from different major film festivals to help select the excellent works from the public submissions. Seeing Taiwan as the first stop, Mark plans to attend all the international film festivals with these excellent movies and to award them laurels and certificates as respect and recognition. In 2014, Mark started to participate in different international film festivals. During the journey, he found that there were many people who knew little about Taiwan, and some of them even took the pronunciation of Taiwan for that of Thailand. Thus, he came up with an idea of bringing a small red flag which reads “I AM FROM TAIWAN” and he has made up his mind to spread the voices from Taiwan around the world.
