About Daniel Lozano
I am a Focused and Hard Working senior Mechanical Engineering student at Tarleton State University pursuing a career in Residential, Commercial, or Aerospace Engineering. My interests include:•Start to Finish Management of Multi-System Projects using Systems Engineering Methodology•Mechanical System Design for components or structures using thermo and fluid dynamics, mechanics, and material principles.•Rapid Prototyping with FEA and Tolerance principles using 3D Printing As a Nanosatellite Research Intern, I trained in Spacecraft Systems Engineering to execute proper component integration and creating budgets for the design and future integration of Tarleton’s MC-1, all while being able to effectively communicate and present our ideas in various occasions. As the Lead Recovery and Avionics Engineer for the NASA USLI competition, I lead the Design, Assembly, Integration, and Testing for critical recovery electronics to ensure proper launch and recovery sequencing of a high powered rocket. This was done by implementing Rapid Prototyping Procedures using CAD and 3D Printing for high quality system functionality. As the Operations and Structural/Thermal Lead for the TexanSat Laboratory, I lead the design and future integration of the MC-1 cube satellite and clean room, as well as communicated with vendors and suppliers to establish relations for construction, all while being one of the cofounders for the laboratory. I enjoy using my experience in CAD and 3D printing to design and create products, as well as working directly with a team, hands on, to nurture a project from start to finish. During my time at university I enjoyed getting involved with club projects where my ability to solve complex problems while working hands on could shine. These organizations included AIAA, SAE, and ASME. On my off time I also enjoy traveling, playing guitar, working out, or going out with friends and family.
