About Daniel Mallinson, Ph.D.
I am an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Administration at Penn State Harrisburg where I also direct the PSH Policy Lab. My primary research centers on understanding the policy making process by engaging with and linking prominent policy process theories. My policy-specific research includes cannabis policy, broader drug policy, energy policy, mental health policy, and suicide prevention policy. I have embarked on a long-term research endeavor examining how stigma shapes the policymaking process for drug, mental health, and suicide prevention policy. I would be interested in speaking to groups about my research, as well as trends in Pennsylvania politics, and state governance more broadly. My teaching joins my interests and state and local government, public policy, public administration, and research methods.See my professional website below for examples of my research and teaching.
