Dan Matuszak has worked in carbon management and clean energy for over 15 years.Currently, he serves as Chief Technology Officer at the Aviation Climate Taskforce, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on accelerating technologies to decarbonize the aviation sector. Prior to his current role, he served at the U.S. Department of Energy. He managed the Separation Science program in the Chemical Sciences, Geosciences, and Biosciences Division at the Department of Energy's Office of Science. Earlier, he managed the carbon utilization program at the Office of Fossil Energy. He originally joined the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) in 2010, and served as a technical manager for the carbon management program “Innovative Materials and Processes for Advanced Carbon Capture Technologies” (IMPACCT), among other areas that spanned renewable power generation, biofuels, synthetic fuels, buildings efficiency, and metals manufacturing. After his doctoral work, he conducted academic and private sector R&D in areas of fuel cells, catalysis, and gas separations.
