Developing and maintaining the compiler and adjacent development tools (LSP server/editor tooling and CI/testing tools) and client deliverables (transaction report validation and transformation server) for an in-house, statically type checked, dependently-typed language (ATL) used for encoding transaction reporting and validation services. Previously, expanded parsing and translation ("digitization") of legal texts from various jurisdictions into Akomo Ntoso (AKN) format for Droit regulatory tools. Involved in design and analysis of current implementation and automated workflow as well as possible improvements. Designed and implemented document services for archiving and producing legal texts on request as well as adjacent tools for tracking documents and gaining insight into corpora.

As a member of back end team, expanded data pipeline to allow dynamic generation of the pipeline topology to allow for micro-batched, configurable, pluggable, customer-specific third-party integrations for augmenting data with, e.g., semantic tagging; prototyping of and experimentation with in-house NLP functionality with a view toward semantic search and reasoning; diagnosed service failures and introduced generic retry and error handling verified with generative tests; API work; initiated and engaged in discussion concerning the direction of product and development to meet challenges facing product. Technologies used included Clojure, Apache Storm, Stanford CoreNLP and RabbitMQ.

Lead re-platforming and consolidation of data collection, extraction, QAing and reporting code bases and services from the architectural and technical side to improve efficiency and reliability of systems relied on by research associates and to enable quicker turnaround. Lead design and implementation of data retrieval service (written in Elixir). Pushed to cultivate more robust development practices. Maintained older web search data solutions as needed.Prior to Gartner acquisition:Part of newly formed engineering team at think tank specializing in business intelligence, measuring brand digital presence and quantifying "digital competence". - Developed a new research platform for L2's research staff in order to efficiently aggregate, store, retrieve, analyze and visualize data for studies. Led architectural and design work for said platform with special emphasis on Hypercube, the computational, datapoint storage and ontology backend. Led implementation of Hypercube (written in Clojure) and maintenance of spec. - Prototyped and implemented L2WR, a scheduled search data collection, storage and reporting service, in Python and Javascript to improve efficiency of research staff. Helped define appropriate measurements over search data. Wrote monitoring and notification service in Clojure for monitoring L2WR and other services and created dashboards for keep abreast of data quality, availability and schedule loads. Maintained documentation around these products and services. Technologies employed include Redshift, Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ and Celery as well as third-party services such as Periscope.

Involved in most aspects of the company, including technical implementation and customer development. Main product of the startup was service that leveraged social networks to sell event tickets and track effectiveness and progress of social media campaigns (analytics). Technical implementation consisted of both front end work involving graphics, JavaScript components and development of Python/django/MySQL back end. Customer development involved contacting event organizers as part of trial run of the product and negotiating terms of use.

Developed service management system in Python used by ITA for managing data center services requiring high availability, such as ITA's new airline reservation system. Management system consisted of master management daemon and slave node daemons along with management utilities and a scripting API. Aside from bug fixes, features implemented include history mechanism for tracking of operations and rollback, syncing for allowing farm state to be reconstructed based on partial and scattered state data, locking code for smarter synchronization of deployment tasks and better parallelization of deployment. Prior to joining the Platform Team: implemented bug fixes and features in QPX, ITA's airfare pricing engine (a combination of Common Lisp and C++).

Codeveloped testing utility in C++ for testing video-on-demand media cluster robustness and throughput. Compiled statistics comparing SeaChange and Microsoft video streaming server performance.

Simulated and developed visualizations of Fleming-Viot processes in C++ at the Institute for Physical Chemistry. Simulation involved modeling of interactions of variable number and type of particles in 3-dimensions as probability distributions and according to rules expressed as transformations of these probability distributions. Metrics such as the Renyi entropy of the system were generated and collected alongside data files which were used to generate 3-dimensional, animated visualizations (available online). Coauthored scientific paper which depended heavily on simulation results.

Founded and organized a new student group (25 students plus faculty) dedicated to exploring non-classical computing models. Organized weekly meetings featuring invited speakers. Administered organizational website and mailing list. Led to research in quantum information with faculty member and published article.

Investigated and implemented data aggregating wrapper modules for SCIRun, a software product used for scientific calculation and visualization which allows users to connect software components together using a GUI interface. Designed universal testing modules for said system. Authored documents on constructing modules and integrating custom wrappers into SCIRun and presented a basic tutorial of the system to graduate students taking a component design course.

Designed and implemented event-driven announcement system for POMA-Otis people mover trams intended for international airport installations.
