Operations Director for Balfour Beatty Management seconded into Network Rail as Senior Project Manager (August 2008 – October 2010) on the Thameslink London Bridge project leading a significant multi-discipline Balfour Beatty Management team delivering comprehensive construction, desing, sytems engineering and project management services to Network Rail on their major London Bridge Scheme through the GRIP 2 and 3 stages. Network Rail – Project/Design Manager, Balfour Beatty Management (May 2007 – August 2008)Providing design management services to Network Rail's King's Cross Station Design Expeditor project. The PB team was fully integrated into Network Rail's project management team, supporting them to complete the works in advance of the London Olympics 2012. London Underground – Requirements and Approvals Manager, Balfour Beatty Management (September 2004 – May 2007) King’s Cross project - leading the successful delivery of all assurance related submissions from design through to construction and commissioning to demonstrate assurance to Metronet, LUL and HMRI in accordance with the WPE regulations. The first point of contact within the project team for the LUL Engineering Directorate and for the HMRI from submission of Concept to Completion. London Underground – Senior Supervising Engineer, Balfour Beatty Management (August 2003 – September 2004) Lead engineer for Network Rail interface on the adjacent King’s Cross station. Works involving installation and commissioning of a new ventilation and cooling system to King's Cross station building and associated enabling works.

Contract 230 Stratford Box CTRL Section 2, Responsible for the management, planning, budgeting and performance monitoring of all site clearance, earthworks including the 630,000 m3 Stratford Box excavation and 2.3m m3 overall earthworks scheme for the Stratford Railway lands area. Management of developing the team of engineering staff and the relevant members of the site construction team. Works included: earthworks, major demolition for the 53ha site, aggregate recycling and recovery, major ground remediation of 70,000 m3 of hydrocarbon and gas works contaminated ground , reinforced earthworks, roads, drainage, tunnel spoil remediation using soil drying and lime and cement stabilisation works.

Responsible for construction of a 350m long reinforced concrete cut and cover tunnel immediately adjacent and over the existing mainline railway , responsible for management of construction team and for programming and budget control of the works. Management Safety Representative and chairman for the site Zero Accident Team. Direct responsibility for quality as an appointed Independent Inspector.

Cardiff Bay Barrage – Section Engineer, Balfour Beatty (March 1998 – June 1999) Management of reinforced concrete works and rock protection works in a marine environment. Process engineering and specialist training in group productivity improvement initiative. Assistant Engineer, (Design Secondment), Halcrow Ltd (March 1997 – March 1998) Design within the London Railway and Tunnels Department, working primarily on tender designs for Quarry Bay Station (Hong Kong), King's Cross station remodelling and platform extension projects.Contract 102 Jubilee Line Extension Section Engineer, Balfour Beatty (Sep 1994 – March 1997)Section Engineer for soft ground tunnel boring machines, 4.35m diameter running tunnel and 7m diameter station shield. Extensive experience of hand worked tunnels, bolted concrete and SGI rings including work on step plate junction at Green Park. Experience of works also including NATM (SCL) tunnelling and ground compensation grouting construction, monitoring and interface.
