The Grants Office aims to increase the City’s capacity to compete for federal, state, county, corporate, and foundation grants and to improve the efficiency and impact of programs and services funded through grant dollars.• Wrote, designed, and received largest City of Pittsburgh grant in nearly a decade for the SmartPGH initiative (roughly $22 million from USDOT and PennDOT). • Project lead on Pittsburgh’s USDOT Smart City Challenge application processes, including writing and budgeting, and substantial project management. • Created new grant-seeking and management policies and procedures based on national best practices.• Implemented eCivis software package to streamline the grant application process City-wide.
