I began working in Insurance Claims out of college and worked full time while obtaining my MBA. As the effects of the Great Recession faded, I realized my passion was in the law. I moved to Chicago to pursue my JD while working as a Law Clerk for the City of Chicago's Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, as well as a torts teaching assistant. After graduating law school, I moved to the DC area after being offered a position with the Department of Defense, but ultimately elected to work as an Assistant State's Attorney for the City of Baltimore. In my work as an ASA, I saw first hand the effects prosecutorial and judicial policies can have on a community. Being a prosecutor exposed me to a wide range of victims, issues, and legal complexities. Dealing with an extremely high case load and ever changing rules and procedures due to the pandemic, I was instilled with confidence knowing I could perform under the most strenuous of circumstances. Since leaving the State's Attorney's Office, I have had the opportunity to work for the Small Business Administration's Office of Disaster Assistance, aiding victims of natural disasters recover financially. Currently, I am working at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Office of Enforcement. This position is the perfect culmination of my business and legal skills, and allows me to continue my work protecting citizens from fraud and abuse.
