In my current role, I serve the Scientists, Engineers, and Developers of the Roche Pathology Lab Development Network as their leader. We are the world's largest provider of tissue diagnostic solutions that range from the primary diagnosis of cancer to companion diagnostics for specific pharmaceuticals and much more.

At this position, I was tasked with overseeing all facets of strategic development. My primary role involved coordinating with our marketing and senior leadership teams to define product and technology roadmaps, prioritizing alignment with customer expectations, quality standards, and strategic business goals. I delivered technical leadership of our instruments business units, global quality initiatives, the product realization process, and the quality management system, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize cost-efficiencies and increase productivity. My responsibilities also included sourcing and harnessing new business opportunities through organic development, mergers, and acquisitions. In addition, I facilitated the seamless integration of newly acquired companies and products, including staffing, structure, and product pipeline.

At this position, I led several key projects for our Computer-assisted Surgery Group, specializing in knee and hip orthopedic applications with mechanical, electrical and software components. I developed and established various surgical techniques and methods, including operating room configurations, protocol development, and detailed procedural steps. Accountable for managing all IP portfolio activities in collaboration with internal counsel, I leveraged my advanced asset management expertise to harness opportunities for growth and anticipate/mitigate risks

In this role, I led technical development teams in completing various multi-platform projects targeting the development and optimization of complex electromechanical products. I coordinated and managed external development resources which encompassed IP portfolio management, proposal development/negotiation, safety audits, and equipment testing.

During my time in this role, I engineered multiple innovative devices while implementing novel manufacturing methods and industry best practices. Key products included inflow cannulae, mixed/axial flow turbines, stators, power transmission systems, and minimally invasive percutaneously implantable left ventricular assist devices. In addition, I made instrumental contributions to our systems maintenance efforts, conducting various network implementations and equipment inspections to optimize performance and minimize operational downtime.

As a proactive development team member, I was tasked with creating all components of various powered micro-surgical instruments. I designed and built multiple high-quality motor manufacturing technologies such as varnishing, sensor mounting, and electrical interconnections. This included defining manufacturing procedures and best practices for newly introduced products.
