Providing advice on complex IR Matters across Australia and NZ.Enterprise bargaining. Advocacy in Fair Work Commission. Workplace Investigations. Managing and drafting contracts.Drafting Policy and Procedure.Drafting Communications both internal and externalAligning advice with aviation legislation. Providing practical and sound advice in a fast paced environment.

Provide specialist employee relations advice and support to all functions within V/Line. Provide support in the negotiation of collective agreements and in the implementation of agreements.Ensure appropriate representation and advocacy on behalf of V/Line in relation to industrial and employee relations issues.Advise in relation to conflict resolution and in resolving industrial relations issues or grievances.Ensure appropriate representation of V/Line in industrial and administrative tribunals in relation to disputes, unfair dismissal applications and any other alleged breaches of employment related legislation.Provide service to HR Business Partners in carrying out workplace investigations in relation to breaches of policies, procedures and rules including serious disciplinary matters which might lead to dismissal.

Advocating in Fair Work Australia: including represenation throughout the conciliation/arbitration process, drafting and preparing submissions and advocating on behalf of members to receive best possible outcome.Providing a broad range of Industrial/Employment Relations Advice including interpretation and advice in accordance with the:o Fair Work Act 2009o Equal Opportunity Act o Victoria Police Force Enterprise Agreement 2011/2015;o Victoria Police Force Policy/ManualsMonitoring and managing cases of workplace conflict including matters involving Equal Employment Opportunity / Discrimination / Bullying / Harassmen / Performance ManagementWorkplace/Station visits:o Meeting and consulting with Executive members and in some instances on behalf of Executive members, including the ranks of Superintendents, Inspectors, and Senior Sergeants; o Conciliating workplace conflict meetings, including bullying, harassment, and discrimination; o Providing general advice and representation for members.Providing repesenation for members in the Work Cover system, including:o Interpretation and advice in relation to the Workplace Injury Rehab and Compensation Act 2013;o Meeting and consulting members with a range of both physical and mental illnesses;o Representation at the Accident Compensation Conciliation Service;o Negotiating with Insurers, namely Gallagher Bassett Services Pty Ltd on behalf of members;o Providing training to Delegates and OHS Delegates regarding WorkCover rights and obligations.

Managing disputes between Govt. and organisations/unions/associationsProviding advice to Govt. Departments in relation to:o Enterprise Agreements;o Policy Representing Govt. Departments in Fair Work Commission (South Australia) - Industrial Relations CommissionProviding assistance in negotiating Enterprise Agreements for various Govt. bodies.
