I joined CSIRO to form the Business Intelligence Group. We began a long-term exploration of grammars and their application to language and other domains. In 2002 I won two large projects from Boeing in connection with the Australian AWACS system (Air 5077). These projects created and demonstrated the world's first mathematically coherent algorithm for.

At CSSIP I was principal investigator for fifteen research contracts, with topics that include land-mine detection, airborne early warning and control, situation assessment, Bayesian networks, fusion for submarine mission systems, bone fracture classification and prosthesis tracking.
