CurrentKey responsibilities: • Collaborate with other Distribution Networks to ensure continuous quality improvement and promote best practice, ensuring compliance for mains, services and Multi-Occupancy Buildings (MOBs).• Support the development of British, European and International Standards by carrying out reviews on behalf of Cadent.• Interface with regulatory bodies (BEIS, HSE, OFGEM), participating in industry panels and working groups.• Provide technical and commercial… Show more Key responsibilities: • Collaborate with other Distribution Networks to ensure continuous quality improvement and promote best practice, ensuring compliance for mains, services and Multi-Occupancy Buildings (MOBs).• Support the development of British, European and International Standards by carrying out reviews on behalf of Cadent.• Interface with regulatory bodies (BEIS, HSE, OFGEM), participating in industry panels and working groups.• Provide technical and commercial leadership to influence regulatory and legislative frameworks.• Solve engineering problems associated with complex plant protection projects by carrying out technical analysis of the proposals in order to develop solutions which ensure cost, quality, safety, reliability etc.. Managing solutions through deviations as necessary.• Provision of task or project risk assessments at a quantitative level, carrying out technical analysis, research and development as required.• Working within the relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, lead the development, continuous improvement and implementation of engineering standards, processes and risk assessment to fulfil statutory, licence and regulatory obligations in line with with business objectives.• Exchange of information and advice to technical and non-technical colleagues for various projects, ensuring that information flow is appropriate and effective.• Development and review of designs for complex engineering diversion projects, ensuring that the application of the design results in the appropriate practical outcome, ensuring identification of improvements.• Apply general and specialist engineering knowledge to deliver innovation and support sustainable development in respect of Hydrogen and Net Zero transition.
