Basically, my main task is to design sensors and actuators for a fire security system, from their very first conceptual stages to the last development phase, when the product is actually released to production, and even further by supporting the customer service throughout the whole product life. Therefore, this function implies activities which very often overlap the boundary of the typical software design to include, among others, hardware design, mechanical design, support to approval bodies and customer service, quality management, industrial engineering, production management and project management activities.

Developed an SMTP client on embedded Linux (Arm, XScale) integrated with CCTV alarm system to notify alarm via e-mail handling attachment and authentication support. Developed a WAP interface to retrieve images from CCTV cameras handling user authentication. Designed and developed an integration between a limited resources CCTV device and a GPS receiver in order to trace device's data (position, speed, etc.) via TCP/IP.
