Traveled to Guinea, Mali and Mauritania to provide programmatic support to country field offices and to represent IFES in meetings with stakeholders, including host government officials and civil society representatives.

Responsibilities included technical and financial oversight of democracy and governance projects in Angola, Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Malawi and Haiti. Accomplishments included: planning and undertaking of a pre-election technical assessment (PETA) in Haiti as part of an assessment team; working with team members to draft and finalize the PETA mission report which served as a guide for the development of the Haiti electoral assistance program; recruiting the Haiti Chief of Party; spending a month in the DRC to oversee closeout of the IFES DRC anti-corruption project in 2008; and coordinating the start-up of the subsequent DRC VOICE Program in 2009. Also co-facilitated training for IFES DRC VOICE field staff on monitoring and evaluation.
