I remember reading in an online Forbes article that the United States was ranked the 17th most cyber-secure country in the world. As a longtime professional in this field it is extremely sad to see but not the least bit surprising. Lack of buy in from senior leadership, supply chain miscues, no change management plan or processes, default user names and passwords on perimeter devices, improper configuration, poor patching plans/schedules, lack of motivation, lack of training, lack of experience, lack of knowledge and skills...the list goes on. We must strive to be better and continuously aim to better our processes.Forewarning: I am not a "butt-in-seat" type of person.
