As a production assistant, I performed forklift and warehousing responsibilities at a timber beam production plant. Working to the production schedule, I coordinate the movement of stock transporting products to and from designated areas during all stages of production, warehoused goods in the designated storage areas, coordinated dispatch and worked with quality control to ensure that goods are not damaged in transit and conform to quality standards. I keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing products, inventory and activity logs, perform daily equipment checks and service reporting and ensure that all forklift operations and production activities comply with OH&S requirements. In addition, I operate industrial machinery for the management of waste material.

Naval Base Wa

In this shipping supervisor role, I supervised on-site work crews performing industrial cleaning on cargo vessel holds, ensuring that strict time schedules and demanding surveyor requirements were met. Overseeing work crews away from home, I led team meetings with work crews, senior staff and stakeholders, conducted worksite safety inspections and general inspections to develop a better understanding of safety hazards and risks as well as plan and prepare work schedule and equipment requirements for upcoming jobs. Manage the loading and unloading of heavy equipment using vessel and land-based cranes, oversaw the team’s usage of EWP and high-pressure equipment, hired equipment, handled deliveries and inductions on usage of equipment to vessels, managed all site rules and regulations and liaised with stakeholders at all levels including vessel crews, chief officers, ship’s masters, surveyors, agents and boat owners. Furthermore, I completed all paperwork requirements for site works including crane certificates, JSA, staff work hours, equipment sign out and returns.

Mindarie Wa

For this operations management role, my time at Mindarie Marina was heavily focused on expanding and redeveloping, the primary income producing assets and facilities, operational procedures and practices, along with an aggressive marketing campaign to maximise market share as these projects came to completion. I was responsible for the hands-on management and maintenance of the marina including harbour master duties, facility/grounds and garden maintenance, security, emergency, fuel systems and waste systems. I managed operational budgets, maintenance budgets and project budgets driving reduced operating costs through completing work in house and strong contractor relations. I also managed meetings with stakeholders at all levels, liaised with councils, government departments, local police and the general public, managed all inhouse staff and developed work procedures and practices across all facets of the business including a complete overhaul of security and emergency procedures. This also included managing lease agreements, service contracts and service supplier contracts and worked with Fisheries, Parks and Wildlife in the care of sick and injured wildlife in the marina. Also, I ensured all marina operations complied with government regulations.

Fremantle Wa

This assistant operations manager role saw me managing one of the busiest boat lifting yards in Australia. I managed the booking of all boats in and out of the water, took charge of all accounts for the boat lifting yard including monthly stock takes on all vessels in the yard and operated boat lifters, cranes, elevated work platforms, scissor lifts and all other vehicles. This also included the maintenance program for all machinery and equipment throughout the sailing club and maintaining club sewage systems, plumbing, electrical systems and the grounds of the sailing club including jetty maintenance and waste disposal. Through developing operational KPI's, rules and guidelines as well as scheduling and managing projects to ensure they were carried out as planned I ensured all employees and contractors had a clear understanding of their accountabilities to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
