Running my own freelance design business has allowed me to work on projects over a range of disciplines and expand my skill set. Working with mainly graphic design projects I have created logos, posters, web content, event flyers and more. I was very proud to create the entire marketing visual identity for the first Food Truck Jam held at The Entertainment Quarter. It was an amazing opportunity to create the entire visual identity for the new event from scratch. This included the creation of a logo and colour scheme, and the implementation of marketing materials at the event as well as advertising around the Entertainment Quarter grounds and social media channels. I have also been able to help clients with product design, research and presentations. More recently i have gained work using calligraphy and hand lettering skills in typography to create wedding invites, seating charts, table cards, logos and enjoy being able to offer clients beautiful hand crafted pieces.

At BedsOnline i was part of a small design team working as a graphics designer. The retail market demanded a quick turn around of work and the ability to adapt day to day to trends. I was able to learn many new skills in a variety of areas. My work included designing and managing the printing of store posters, price tags, tv slides, special promotional material, email design, customised email coding among other jobs both for online and in store. The largest jobs included an entire store fit out from designing to print management for a large warehouse.

As a design student I worked at Tomkin as part of my Professional Experience Program in my final year of a Bachelor of Design. This then lead to an opportunity to work at Tomkin after my internship finished and be part of their marketing department. At Tomkin I was exposed to great experience in the commercial retail market as part of a small team with a very large workload. At my time at Tomkin I was heavily involved in the designing of product catalogues, often trusted to manage the entire project from start to finish. Some of my roles for these catalogues included product photography, lifestyle images, page layout, colour management, print management. I was also tasked with converting 3 catalogues onto the apple store by hand.
