Suva, Western, Fiji

As the Country Representative for GGGI in Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga and Vanuatu, I am responsible for managing and supporting respective country teams to deliver programs of work designed to achieve national development goals and climate actions. I am also responsible for engaging with Member country governments and cultivating new business opportunities and partnerships that support the sustainability and scale-up of in-country programs.

GGGI is an intergovernmental organization founded to support and promote green growth that simultaneously achieves poverty reduction, job creation, social inclusion and environmental sustainability. GGGI works with countries around the world, building their capacity and working collaboratively on green growth policies and projects that can impact the lives of millions.Daniel manages projects and develops multimedia content that communicate GGGI’s work and successes to key stakeholders and unique audiences. This includes driving outreach and engagements at top-tier international events and producing films, flagship publications, corporate brochures and promotional materials and the development of website and social media content. Daniel is also responsible for developing and executing communications strategies and campaigns by managing program budgets and external vendors.

Papua New Guinea

Managed the delivery of a GCF Readiness project and the Australian DFAT-funded Climate Resilient Green Growth project in partnership with PNG's Climate Change & Development Authority. Strengthened partnerships with government counterparts, donor and development organizations. Scaled-up GGGI's operations on the ground through the recruitment of a permanent in-country team.

Republic Of Korea

The Plenipotentiary Conference is the key event at which International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Member States decide on the future role of the organization to influence and affect the development of information and communication technologies (ICTs) worldwide. PP-14 was hosted by the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) in Busan, Republic of Korea, on October 20 - November 7, 2014.Working within the Ministry, Daniel served as a Communications Officer to the Chairman of the Conference, Mr. Min Wonki, Assistant Minster, MSIP. This included writing official speeches, liaising with ITU staff based in Geneva to develop and implement a Conference protocols, rules and procedures training program, conducting policy analyses on ICT industry issues, including internet governance, and serving as the Chairman’s on-site assistant during the 3-week conference.

Incheon, Republic Of Korea

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information & Communication Technology for Development (UN-APCICT) is a regional institute of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), charged with building information and communications technology (ICT) capacity for the purposes of sustainable socio-economic development. UN-APCICT was established in 2006.Daniel served as a Public Information Associate helping to develop content and promote the work and outcomes of the organization in the Asia-Pacific region. This included developing and editing core training modules and case study series, creating and managing website content, writing official speeches and Op-Ed articles, and producing promotional materials including corporate videos, brochures and exhibition booths. Daniel also managed the organization and delivery of capacity building workshops in Indonesia, the Philippines and the Pacific.

Toronto, Canada

Workers United represents 10,000 workers across Canada, and over 150,000 more across the United States, advocating on a range of economic and social issues including decent minimum wages, stronger labour protections, racial and income equality, migrant rights, and improving garment factory conditions in countries around the world.Daniel served as a Research Analyst helping to develop programs designed to support labour equality. This included conducting industry analyses, corporate, regulatory and legal history research used to support collective bargaining negotiations, and develop national awareness campaigns. Daniel led the Made in Canada campaign, which aimed to limit the outsourcing of hockey manufacturing jobs, and reached a national audience through press conferences, pint media and social media outreach.
