As consultant real estate investments & strategy, my activities lean on three pillars:1. Retail portfolio management - as part of the Sweco Capital Consultants retail team, I monitor and report on all non-listed retail funds. We believe that strong performance starts with an in depth understanding of the assets and their local risk/return dynamics. Therefore we visit every significant asset in the portfolio, thus being able to understand these dynamics and deliver countervailing power to fund management.2. Strategic Consultancy - as part of permanent and ad hoc client teams, I advise investment committees on their real estate investment portfolios. Strategic issues can be: sector/regional allocations, portfolio risks, dealing with impact investing, return outlooks, etc. All our advice is data- and research driven and fact based in order to give our clients strong fundamentals for their investment decisions.3. Process optimization - currently Sweco Capital Consultants is upgrading the IT-backbone of its systems. As part of the project team I have been responsible for the system design and procurement of a flexible, robust and secure new IT-system, which leans heavily on data management, work flow management and dashboarding. During the building phase of the project I liaise with the IT-building team on operational and design issues.

In my position as management trainee, I assist the Country Managing Director of Sweco NL (Eugene Grüter) in his tasks. Furthermore, as part of the NL board of directors I coorporate in formulating and execution of the strategy of Sweco NL.

In the function of Strategy Analyst, I work at the Strategy Implemantation Office (SIO) of Sweco NL. The primary goal of the SIO is assisting the board of directors in making the business perform at it's best.My tasks include:- quantitative data analysis- qualitative data analysis- analysis of processes- benchmark analysis- market analysis- competitor analysis- assisting in change management - business intelligenceFurthermore I work as a project leader on several programs, including the implementation of a new CRM system in our organisation.

My graduate project at the Technical University of Delft is connected to the department of Real Estate & Housing. The thesis focuses on hidden vacancy among primary schools. How much hidden vacancy is there in the Netherlands? What are possible predictors? And what can be expected regarding future developments?

As a result of my prior internship at Grontmij, I work at the department of building project management. My work involves assistance at the Tenderdesk, in order to obtain new projects. Additionally I work on various acquisition tools. Furthermore my work involves the assistance at various projects in the initiative phase.

Grontmij is one of the leading total engineering firms in the Netherlands. Its operations involve the creation and realisation of engineering solutions in the Netherlands as well as abroad.Within the division of Buildings and Real Estate, I work at the project management department. My work involves analysis and evaluation of the current use of BIM in the organization and the translation of the existing expertise on BIM into added value for the customer.

As assistant of the department of Housing within the master Real Estate & Housing, I am responsible for the organizational aspects of the master course 'Housing policy, Management and Sustainability'. This course focuses on the provision of housing in the Netherlands and the transformation of the existing housing stock towards a more sustainable future.Work includes the substantive alignment of the course elements, contact with teaching staff, students and the organization of an excursion and a meeting between housing professionals and students.

This department of the municipality Rotterdam focuses on empirical field research in the various neighborhoods of the city, in order to create useful tools and knowledge for administrative decision making.At this position I have been able to do the empirical research for my master-thesis at Public Administration in Leiden. As a result of my prior internship at CrisisPlan BV, I could continue part-time on several movie projects. The work included: background research, A/V-structure of recordings, customer contact and responsibility for the interviews and construction of various educational movie projects concerning training for crisis management.

I have started my contact with this crisis management consultancy firm as an all-round intern. Work concerned desk research on various projects within the business. Furthermore I had the opportunity to join courses at Institute Clingendael, cooperate in various trainings and exercises and visit customers. In this way gaining an insight in the full spectrum of the firm's education, training, exercise and consultancy operations.
