Engineering Lead on programme of work building an IaaS Factory on GCP using GCE. Our product produces hardened Windows + Linux images on GCE for internal customers to provision on demand IaaS infrastructure for their project/application workloads.We built a Landing Zone in GCP, developed build pipelines and provided automated patching, compliance and reporting infrastructure with new processes to manage the growing estate. We established a small team to support and maintain the core product and services, and integrated this team into our Cloud Services unit who have now run the service today.I worked closely with our Product Owner and other stakeholders to turn requirements into practical solutions that the delivery teams could get on and deliver. My primary function was to ensure delivery teams were unblocked and remained on track with delivery tasks by solving a mixture of technical, commercial, security and operating model challenges.

Oracle Consultant for the Lloyds TSB/HBOS integration programme.I was part of a technical troubleshooting and recovery management team for LBG & HBOS integration who were dropped into to help bring projects back on track.I worked on optimising the performance of migration workloads, capacity planning, scaling existing infrastructure, application tuning and where necessary redesigning integration processes using tools like Oracle GoldenGate where required.

Initially hired as a Senior Oracle DBA responsible for delivering Oracle infrastructure for new projects into production. I quickly progressed to become the Lead DBA responsible for a small team providing the Oracle Service for the RBS Managed Testing department. I successfully established a team which provided a production like service to the Oracle test estate (700+ Instances 8i-11g Aix, Sun, HP-UX, Linux & Windows). Dealing with incidents, automated the delivery of new Oracle infrastructure and worked on ongoing service improvement projects to improve service across the whole of the test estate.
