- Conceived and designed a new research program for INET on financial, monetary, and macroeconomics. Built a global network of researchers around new theoretical approaches to the financial system, motivated by the global financial crisis.- Created a broad intellectual vision for an approach to understanding the functioning, failure, and regulation of the financial system, and worked with internal stakeholders (communications, development) and with external economists to build the research program into a fully-fledged research program.- Reviewed and assessed prospective and ongoing research projects. Consulted with internal economists and external researchers on both substantive and administrative matters related to the research program.- Built INET's contacts and interaction among academic, official, and private institutions. Collaborated on research, education projects, events, and general institution-building with economists and others at all levels.- Traveled extensively in support of INET's research aims.
