I was one of the analysts and authors of the Inmate Payroll System, an automation of the managerial clerical functions associated with the generation of the monthly payroll for approximately 20,000 inmates at nearly 80 Federal Prisons nationwide. Other responsibilities included Symix Database Administration, program enhancements, system installations, technical support, writing instruction manuals and administrator/end-user training.

I designed the database containing restricted information pertaining to Asbestos trial cases. Other responsibilities included designing and implementing preprocessing programs for data integrity, troubleshooting hardware problems and data transfers between different operating systems/hardware.

I was the Senior Systems Engineer on the Realtime Automated Personnel Identification System(RAPIDS), the ID card used by all DOD personnel. I designed the data structures used in communications between RAPIDS and the Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System(DEERS). In addition, I programmed all individual field and inter-data relational edits. I maintained centralized management control of the DEERS reporting system. I projected the timelines, wrote and maintained special program productions of security changes to on-line eligibility inquiry access. I provided archived records of computer transactions and generated direct mail. I provided network support to the Office of the Secretary Of Defense's LAN. I also coded and tested programs in the OSD Facilities Management Information System. I participated in the structured analysis and design of the uniform chart of accounts(UCA), standardization of accounting functions used at DOD medical facilities all over the world. I also analyzed, designed, coded, tested and documented all programs in the maintenance subsystem for UCA. I designed and coded Live Test Demonstration timing programs, installed software and configured hardware at 14 UCA sites.
