I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I grew up spending most of my time outdoors but found my love for computers and development at the age of 14. Instead of going straight to college out of high school, I decided to join the USMC to gain some much-needed life experience, responsibility, and leadership skills. After four years and two deployments as a mortar man, I decided to start a new chapter of my life and transition out of the armed forces. I moved to Florida where I started my journey as a software engineer and computer scientist by attending NOVA Southeastern University. During my first year in college, I was struggling financially due to the cost of living in South Florida and my low income as a college student. To make ends meet I started to freelance software development skills that I learned in and out of college. This led to me teaching myself more advanced and complex skills to freelance and I loved every minute of it. I knew then that I finally found my passion and it lies with computers. Since then I've freelanced over 50 jobs ranging from simple front-end work to more complex full-stack applications with web3 integration. I believe that you need to believe it to see it and sheer willpower and determination trump all other skills you might possess.
