The creation of what Grand Canyon University calls "Strategic Educational Alliances" has opened my eyes to how the ability to create deep and functional business relationships is what sets exceptional organizations and individuals apart.I am responsible for GCU’s outreach to Charter Schools, nationwide. I also serve a multi-state community of Homeschoolers through an Academic Alliance called ALPHA. This program reaches more than 35,000 families.Being a Marine developed in me certain leadership skills that cannot be gained in other ways. Leadership becomes an instinct because the nature of a Marine's vocation and calling requires it. Marine Corps required of me a commitment that would reward courage with valor.As a Missionary, pursuing God required a similar commitment, but would include my wife and 4 kids. Moving a family from home, culture and language to step into the unknown has some unique, logistical considerations that can only be appreciated through the experience. What this created in us was a love for the lost and an insatiable passion for true adventure.Throughout the 12 years I have spent working in higher education, I have had the opportunity to work with those whose ideas created an industry. I've seen my years of service and loyalty repaid with honor and legacy.Whether in the service to God or country or family or legacy, a commitment and sacrifice was required. The many countries, cultures and varied experiences color what has become my life and I delight in collecting esteemed colleagues.I am also the Executive Director and founder of Liberty City, a project that employs Cloud Computing technology in the Village of Nazareth, Dominican Republic. It is intended to seed Renaissance in this culture through mentorship and collaboration. This project brings missionaries and Social-Entrepreneurs a new global micro-business that can be deployed in remote locations around the World.
