I lead the IT teams across the Enero Group. If it’s digital or has a power cord, we probably look after it.My time with Enero has been a roller coaster ride. We went from 48 businesses in a debt-laden Group (~-$450m), to a cash-rich, profit-making 5 businesses, with over 800 staff working in 13 major cities. And now we are hitting our stride! As a result, I’ve got the battle-hardened experience relating to mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture, and we have had to pivot quickly and often over the past 11 years.My current focus is on maturing our group-wide security posture and keeping our businesses, staff, and clients safe, and in compliance with ever-growing regulations, in addition to expanding the capability of our IT Centre of Excellence. To achieve this, we’ve formed partnerships with some excellent vendors, and are actively working on a consistent digital evolution. (Transformation is so yesterday…)A few of the things I am most proud of during this time: I helped create the PMI (Project Management Institute) framework on Agile Project Management, was a Subject Matter Expert for the PMI Practice Guide for Organisational Project Management, and was invited to help design exam questions for future Project Management Professionals. Additionally, I became a new beekeeper caring for several hives.

At Red Bull I was IT Manager for two media & publishing companies that were part of the Red Bull stable. The companies were in Vienna & London, and I managed all aspects of the IT operations across the two locations. I delivered projects, managed the IT OPEX & CAPEX budget, and streamlined the production processes.I supported the techs (only remotely... unfortunately) who travelled the world with the Red Bull F1 team, producing the Red Bulletin magazine in the F1 Paddock. That magazine then expanded to a global audience and is now part of the Red Bull family proper, highlighting the world of high-energy lifestyle, music, photography, and sport, presented in a visually striking format.A highlight of this role was having my wife’s photo included on the “Faces for Charity’ custom F1 skin at Monaco in 2007. (Red Bull placed 6th, unfortunately.) The custom wrap included 50,000 photos and raised a million dollars for spinal cord injury research!

I was a senior engineer in the project team at the largest Austrian IT Integrator. There we worked on large and varied projects for large businesses, financial institutes, pharma companies (Baxter, Eli Lilly), government departments, and the Vienna UN offices. One of my favourite projects was for the Austrian Federal Ministry of Traffic, where we re-engineered the network and integrated new Cisco network tech in preparation for a VoIP rollout. Another memorable project was a desktop fleet refresh of ~900 computers at the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce, successfully completed over a long weekend.
