Responsible for mechanical assembly and testing of electro-mechanical products (Dragonfly Discovery, Firefly and Compound) covering the whole range from sub-assemblies to final instrument build and test. Factory acceptance testing of Dragonfly Discovery and Firefly products as well as fault finding and problem solving during the final testing of these products. Maintaining databases for work undertaken and test results. Working within a team to achieve business deadlines under strict time constraints. Working alongside manufacturing and development engineers to improve build quality and efficiency of existing and new products.

Responsible for build of complex electromechanical instruments (Scanning Electron Microscopes) in accordance with company procedures with calibration of fully built product. Verification of calibration by means of both manual and automated testing protocols and performing safety checks for completed assembly. Troubleshooting and fault-finding issues encountered during assembly build process as well as serving as point of reference for less experience colleagues and re-build process. I provide training for new starters on current best build practices and actively participate in continuous improvement activities and initiatives. One of my additional responsibilities is performing First Aid duties and stepping in for Senior Assembly Technician when required.
