Previously at Capital One I was the engineering lead for the Eno chatbot platform which enables our customers to use natural language to do many banking activities. In the Keating Lab I worked closely with lab members on applications of coiled-coil protein domains, both natural and designed in-house, to build two synthetic biology systems using genetic engineering methodology. One system used synthetic protein-protein interactions to create complex regulatory schemes and the other used the ClpXP system for protein degradation switches. Lab activities included cloning (gibson, golden gate), handling and culture of E.coli strains, microplate reader assay, gel electrophoresis and DNA purification, DNA extraction and preparation for sequencing, sequencing data analysis, protein expression tuning, time course assays for protein expression in cells, DNA quantification with nanpore, media and selection reagant preparation, DNA digestion, PCR.
