About Daniel Mccarthy Msc. Ba Lib

As a Senior Manager with over 7 years of experience acting as a liaison between business and IT stakeholders during which I have honed my skills in business analysis and collaborative problem solving. My academic background in English, History, Business Information Systems, Data & Analytics and Change Management has given me a good foundation in research, report writing, technical skills and industry best practice.I really enjoy analysing data and information to provide insights which may have otherwise gone un-noticed. I'm also passionate about creating new processes and improving on existing processes to try to make them more efficient and provide as much value as possible. Collaboration is key and I find it crucial to get direct input from the end users on how a new or updated process or system impacts them as well as getting a understanding of the rationale at an executive or strategy level for why a new or updated report, process or system is required.In my current role, I am glad to have a broad remit allowing me to further my experience in a number of areas including; liaising between the IT function and the end business users on new systems and processes/updates to existing systems and processes; reviewing policies, procedures and guidance; user acceptance testing/business testing; MI collation and presentation; providing input into projects in relation to the previous workstreams.
